Member Satisfaction

Every year Community Care mails surveys to our members to find out what they think about our services. Based on the care our members received in 2005 we learned that:

  • Most members felt that people treating them listened to them carefully
  • Most members responded that the people treating them explained things in a way that they could understand
  • Members also responded that they felt safe when they went for treatment
  • Members feel that the treatment they received was helpful and improved their quality of life.

The survey results also showed us areas to work on:

  • Community Care wants members to know that they can include their family and friends in treatment if they want to.
  • We also want members to know about self-help and support groups. These groups are important to recovery.

We want providers to talk more about these two things with our members.

Community Care has ideas on how to get providers and members to talk about these things:

  • We will have member newsletter articles reminding members that including family and friends in their treatment can be very helpful.
  • We will also have member newsletter articles reminding members that support groups are an important part of recovery.
  • Community Care also plans to have links to many community resources on our website.
  • We will remind providers how important it is to talk to members about including others in their treatment.
  • We will also remind providers that self-help and support groups are an important part of treatment.

What members think about our services is very important to us. We meet with members to review the survey results. They help us come up with the best ways to improve member satisfaction.
