Children's Outpatient Specialty ClinicsClinics that are licensed by OMH under Article 31 of the Mental Hygiene Law and designated as Specialty Clinics shall be required by OMH to notify Community Care of each new episode of care initiated for a child who is diagnosed as having a Serious Emotional Disturbance and who is reimbursed through Medicaid Fee for Service for their mental health care. This may also include children in Medicaid managed care who have their behavioral health services carved out. Updated Outpatient Specialty Clinics List
On January 31, 2012 the New York State Office of Mental Health published an updated list of Outpatient Specialty Clinics in the Hudson River Region* who are required to notify Community Care of each new episode of care initiated for a child who is diagnosed as having a Serious Emotional Disturbance.
