The Community Care Recovery Learning Collaborative - Encore Presentation
|
|
May 4, 2009
Since implementing the Personal Medicine™ and Recovery Toolkit, providers have
identified barriers and proposed solutions. It is from this recovery enthusiasm
and ingenuity that Community Care is starting the Recovery Learning Collaborative.
The Community Care Recovery Learning Collaborative will be a network of mental
health agencies committed to changing and transforming services toward
recovery-oriented practice. Specifically, it will consist of a network of
regional providers who designate a Quality Improvement Team to meet regularly
with Community Care experts and the staff of Pat Deegan PhD & Associates to
implement the CommonGround™ Approach to shared decision making in the organization.

How to Personalize Your Support System
|
|
March 12, 2009
What does it mean to build a support system? Generally,
a support system refers to the individuals and resources involved in your
recovery that encourage, nurture, support, and celebrate your successes. A
support system is key to recovery, because we all need support at one time or
another, illness or not. Supporters help us recover from many difficult situations.
In this Webinar the panel will discuss ways to personalize your support system.
They will explore using natural supports, while incorporating community resources,
help lines, and self help tools. These examples include: trying to avoid isolation
in times of crisis, and what to do when your support system is taken away.
